World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.
For example an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. item upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the item to which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon an update.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.
You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs as well as also a few rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to improve the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside, as the item can be more expensive even if you do not require it.
Upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or swims like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrade r NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every each time you upgrade an item it is given the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to bring each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
